1. NEW SUSTAINABLE FUTURES.
How to envision new sustainable future in current urban environments?
Creating a sustainable future is up to all of us. Undeniable climate change and the anthroposcene era brings us enormous challenges. Sustainable urban visions show us new, sometimes unexplored ways of living while saving earth’s resources and improving our quality of life. As once Buckminster Fuller said “The best way to predict the future is to design it”, so let’s try to make it sustainable.
2. SPATIAL SOLUTIONS.
How spatial solutions solve urban problems?
Spatial planning intervenes into problematic hard and soft infrastructures to make them once again liveable, recognisible and attractive locations. Urban problems are only solved through a co-creative planning process led by interested parties, who know the context. Interactive planning results in feasibility studies, territorial, spatial, strategic plans.
3. RESEARCH BY DESIGN.
How to make evidence based planning?
Continious research throughout all design phases brings evidence based reality into planning. Planning without careful and critical system thinking can bring more problems into our environments. Historical urban development patterns show as where we can avoid further mistakes. We apply exploratory, associational, experimental and empirical based research into our projects.
4. INNOVATIVE PLANNING TOOLS.
How different planning instruments help to plan effectively?
We translate visions, strategies and plans into the right instruments or planning documents. As part of our projects, we investigate how we can optimally use the existing set of instruments and also make proposals for new instruments.
