The goal of the project is to create modern, aesthetic, and functional bicycle storage facilities. The concept is modularity, which allows the storage network to be easily adapted and expanded according to the changing needs of the residents.
During the project’s development, detailed structural parameters were defined, and 18 storage units were planned for the first phase, with their locations carefully selected based on population density. To ensure daily convenience, the storage units are equipped with modern functions: electric charging stations for electric bicycles and scooters, quick repair points for fixing minor issues, and a card system with sliding gates ensuring secure access.
Significant attention is also given to aesthetics, aiming to harmoniously integrate the objects into the urban landscape – an elegant combination of dark metal and perforated metal mesh was chosen for this purpose. Sustainability is one of the project’s main pillars: it is proposed to install green roofs with extensive planting, using low-maintenance evergreen plants. This solution not only contributes to urban ecology and biodiversity but also provides the opportunity to expand the modules in the future by adding green recreational areas.
